Dhara Rivera’s artistic practice consists of an essential ecological platform. Using different methods, materials, and strategies, her works investigate the various components that have shaped human beings current relationship with the 'natural' world (animal, non-animal, and plant). Her research gathers perspectives that flow between the social, the political, the poetic, and the personal. In this way, the artist attempts to reflect on the complexity of the relationship with the environment while challenging Modernity's linear, hierarchical, and static thinking.
Under these axes, and focused on bodies of water, she has created permanent and ephemeral works that have been collected in artistic documentaries disseminated through various media and presentation spaces.
